Upcycling Dienstag – jetzt hängt er der Hexer

Dieses Buch habe ich auf dem Flohmarkt entdeckt und ich finde die Kombination der Farben und Illustration einfach perfekt gelungen, viel zu schade, um im Regal zu verstauben. Natürlich habe ich es vorher gelesen.

I found this wonderful old book at the fleamarket and I  love the combination of colour and illustration. Really far too good to gathering dust on the shelf. Of course I read it before…

Und so habe ich aus “Dem Hexer” ein Wandbild gemacht:
So i did the picture of Edgar Wallace book “The ringer”

Die Buchseiten mit einem Cutter vorne und hinten herausgetrennt.
Cut out the book pages with a cutter.

 

Dicke Pappe zugeschitten und da der Buchdeckel den Rahmen nicht ganz ausfüllt, habe ich den Rest mit Masking Tape umklebt.
Cut a thick cardboard to size for the frame. Because the frame was bigger than the book cover I taped the rest with masking tape.

Das Buchcover habe ich auf der Rückseite mit doppelseitigem Klebeband auf die Pappe geklebt.
I glued the book cover with doublesided adhesive tape and stuck it on the cardboard.

Ab in den Rahmen und schon hängt der Hexer an der Wand. Vielleicht wird es ja bald eine ganze Buchcover Galerie.
Put it into the frame and the ringer is hanging on the wall. Perhaps it will become a bookcover galerie sometimes.

Und habt ihr auch so ein schönes Exemplar im Schrank?
